More than a decade of my professional life was spent working for daily newspapers in major metropolitan markets. During those years, I learned to explain stories and ideas in a thoughtful manner using a variety of visual tools. Working with diverse teams under unforgiving deadlines, I've learned to make decisions quickly with a focus on the desired goal and not on my personal preferences.

From 2007 to 2021, I worked for a non-profit children's hospital and I am grateful for the expansion of skills and experience this opportunity has presented. My primary role was to communicate the mission of Texas Children's Hospital to a variety of existing and potential major gift donors using many different communications platforms.
